Fall/Winter 2012 Photo Update :)

Happy New Year friends and family!  :)

Some photos to give you a glimpse of our fall and winter so far...
We were treated to our second year in a row of old-fashioned cider making with friends from Ignite.  If you ever have the chance to try home made cider, you should!  Way better than what you find in stores!  :)
Seth catching the cider coming out of the press!

Yum!

As Seth started his 3rd year at Children's Music Academy (which we love!), Haddie was delighted to begin her first!  Here she is with her music bag outside the building.

First day of school "action pose".  ;)
Seth - 7, Haddie - 5

We had a great time in Duluth when we went there this past September for a wedding Steve was helping with.  The kids were mesmerized by the old buildings, the ships, and especially the lake!  Here they are right before we walked through the William A. Irvine.  They did great on their first ever tour.

Sitting on a huge old anchor.

The weather was gorgeous, so they tried out the water.

In front of the little malt shop Steve used to go to when he was young!

Malt in hand, checking out the ship coming in.  ;)

A big part of each week revolves around church!  Here's Seth standing at the side of the theater we use for church service.

We tried to get in as many park play dates as possible while the weather allowed!  :)  Here's Haddie waiting for our friends to arrive.

Pastoring a church gives us front row seats to see so many things God is doing in people's lives.  One aspect of that is the privilege of watching relationships form and grow... often leading to weddings!  Here's Seth and I before one of the weddings.

Couple shots are few and far between, it seems, so we grabbed a quick one before Steve ran out the door to officiate! (Random side note: it will be 10 years for us this June!  Crazy!)

Sometimes it's the little things that make memories.
Here's Haddie playing dress up in the kitchen.

Maybe some of you experience this too - we often feel like we need to leave our home (and sometimes leave town) in order to feel completely at ease on our days off.  ;)  Here's a Monday hike at a state park.  The leaves were amazing and the trails were fun!

Haddie being trail guide.

Apple taste-testing in the fall!

They look forward to this each year.  ;)

Leaf display we made after one hiking day.

Cuddling a kitten at the farm.

"Cheese"  ;)

Sack racing!

Horse-drawn wagon ride with some cousins!

Seth playing the piano part during a quartet at music class. (In case you're wondering, the little air punch at the end is his version of a mini victory dance.)  ;)

Blessed with 4 cousins on one side of the family...

And 4 on the other!

So fun to find little treasures like this.

We are very blessed.

Thank you for being in our lives and thank you for stopping by!

Summer 2012 Update

Thank you for stopping by to see what we've been up to!  Here is a photo update from about April through August, 2012.  Since the beginning of this year we've noticed even more of a rhythm to our life - something we've been looking forward to since the craziness of packing and moving started about two years ago.  There have been so many things to enjoy this year.  We've been getting to know the great people of Ignite even better, enjoying time with relatives and the 5 new babies in our families, developing good routines for the four of us, as well as our regular activities like men's and women's small groups, AWANA, and music class.  It's been a good year so far, and we look forward to discovering what's up next.  :)

Seth became quite a good reader in school this year.  :)
We grew bean plants from a seed... and kept them until they produced seeds of their own.  It was fun to watch the changes.
The first tooth was lost this year!  (And 5 more were to quickly follow suit!)
Our wonderful, adventurous, tender-hearted boy turned seven April 10th.  He is a gift from God and we love him so much!
We celebrated our 9th anniversary on June 21st.
Our sweet, smart, creative little lady turned 5 June 8th.  It's hard to believe our "baby" is this old.  She is a treasure and we love her!
We were very sad to say good-bye to our boy, Meeshach this summer.
He was such a good dog and we're thankful for the time we had with him.
We did, however, gain a pet this past year....
The kids very much enjoy Willow the cat.  I think she enjoys them too.  ;)

Just for fun.
The kids looked forward to the fair with much anticipation.  It was a HOT day! (But a fun day!)
No caption necessary.  ;)
Ahhhhh.  That's good.

I think she was just as eager to have cotton candy again as she was to go on the rides!
We had fun making our first "from scratch" pie together.  Raspberry.  Picking the berries ourselves made it even sweeter!
Steve spoke at camp again this summer, and we were very blessed to be invited to tag along for the week.  Here's Steve, Seth and Haddie playing Gaga Ball.
Seth in a Spider-man pose.  :)
Seth and Haddie got to make their own canoe paddles - so fun!
We found out Haddie needed glasses.  She likes them a lot, and is happy to see better!
Thank you so much for being with us on this journey!  We appreciate you, and our life is so much richer because of your friendships.
